Overview
Escape the busy streets of Marrakech and travel across the spectacular High Atlas Mountains toward the gateway of the Sahara. This 2-day, 1-night adventure takes you through ancient kasbahs, palm valleys, dramatic landscapes, and finally to the peaceful desert of Zagora, where you will enjoy a camel ride at sunset and an unforgettable night under the stars in a traditional desert camp.

Day 1: Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Draa Valley → Zagora Desert Camp
Depart from Marrakech early in the morning and cross the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying panoramic views and traditional Berber villages along the way.
Stop to visit the famous Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its impressive earthen clay architecture and as a filming location for many international movies.
Continue the journey through Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest valley, filled with palm groves, kasbahs, and oases.
Arrive in Zagora in the late afternoon where your camels will be waiting. Enjoy a peaceful camel ride at sunset through the desert landscape to reach your desert camp. Dinner is served under the stars followed by traditional music around the campfire. Overnight in a private tent.
Day 2: Zagora → Ouarzazate → Marrakech
Wake up early to admire the magical desert sunrise. After breakfast at the camp, ride the camels back to meet your driver.
Drive toward Ouarzazate, often called “The Hollywood of Morocco,” where you will pass by historic kasbahs and desert landscapes.
Continue your return journey across the Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech, arriving in the evening.
